Shower Glass Panels & Fixed Splash Guards

Not every shower needs a door. Fixed glass shower panels — also called splash guards or walk-in panels — give you an open, accessible shower design with a clean, modern look. No tracks, no hinges, no hardware to maintain.

Florida Glass Company fabricates and installs custom shower glass panels throughout Fort Myers, Naples, Cape Coral, and Southwest Florida. From simple splash guards to full walk-in shower walls, we build to your exact specifications.

When to Choose a Fixed Glass Panel

  • Walk-in showers — The open-concept shower design that’s dominating modern bathroom trends. A fixed panel contains the splash zone without closing off the space.
  • Curbless / ADA showers — Fixed panels are the go-to for accessible shower designs. No door to navigate, no threshold to step over.
  • Wet rooms — European-style bathrooms where the shower area is open. Glass panels define the zone without walls.
  • Tub splash guards — A single pane of glass at the shower end of your tub. Minimal, stylish, and effective.
  • Minimal maintenance — No tracks, rollers, hinges, or seals to clean, replace, or adjust. Just glass.

Panel Configurations

  • Single fixed panel — One pane of glass, wall-mounted. The simplest and most popular walk-in option.
  • L-shaped panels — Two panels meeting at a 90-degree corner. Provides more splash containment for corner showers.
  • Panel with return — A main panel with a short perpendicular piece. Blocks water without fully enclosing the shower.
  • Partial-height panel — Glass that stops short of the ceiling for an even more open feel. Great paired with a rain showerhead.
  • Floor-to-ceiling panel — Full-height glass for maximum water containment in walk-in and wet room designs.

Glass Thickness & Options

Fixed panels use 3/8″ or 1/2″ tempered glass depending on panel size and height. Larger panels typically use 1/2″ for added rigidity since there’s no frame for support. Available in clear, ultra-clear (low-iron), frosted, rain, and patterned glass.

Mounting & Support

Panels are secured with wall-mounted channel brackets or point-fix clamps. For taller or wider panels, we add a stabilizer bar (wall-to-glass or ceiling-to-glass) for extra support. All hardware available in chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, and other finishes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will water splash out of a doorless shower?

With proper design, no. The key is panel placement and showerhead positioning. We typically recommend a minimum 24″ entry gap with the showerhead aimed away from the opening. We’ll design the layout during your consultation to ensure water stays contained.

How much does a fixed glass shower panel cost?

Fixed panels typically range from $600 to $1,800 depending on size, glass thickness, and hardware. They’re often the most affordable option since there’s less hardware and no moving parts.

Can I add a fixed panel to my existing shower?

Yes. Fixed panels can be retrofitted to most existing showers. We mount to your existing tile walls — no demo needed.
